Pixel Art is a form of digital art that is edited and created on the pixel level through the use of software. The art originates from old 2D video games, primarily 8-bit and 16-bit systems, where both colour and processing power was limited. The performance limitation of the time forced artists to create on a pixel by pixel basis. Some designers mastered this process and created iconic and stunning art that lives on to this day, and even inspire new artists to continue the craft into the 21st century.
