Electron

Electron is a JavaScript framework for writing desktop applications that can run on Linux, MacOS or Windows. The framework is open-source and is developed by GitHub since July 2013. Electron allows for the development of desktop GUI applications using server and client-side components originally developed for web applications: Node.js runtime for the backend and Chromium for the front-end.
