Today Hamcrest has implementations in a number of languages including Python, Ruby Objective-C, PHP, Erlang and Swift. The framework supports creating customized assertion matchers, allowing match rules to be defined declaratively, these matchers are used in unit testing frameworks like JUnit and jMock.
