Sass is not only the first stylesheet language extension for CSS, it also boast the widest variety of features found today. The language is mature and and has been actively supported for over 12 years to be compatible with all versions of CSS. The language has a large community and is industry approved and is used in well used open source front-end web frameworks such as Bootastrap and Foundation.
